International Friendship Day // 30th July

To the friends who have known us for the entirety of our lives and to those who we have only just had the joy of getting to know, today we think of you.

To those who have played an oblivious part in shaping who we are and those who are very aware of the weight you hold our lives, today we think of you.

To the friends who we’ve travelled with, stayed in with, shared a home with and slept over with, today we think of you.

To the friends who we have suffered alongside, shared life's lows with and supported while we each found our feet again, today we think of you.

To the friends who have stood by us when life got in the way, those who didn't stray when we missed your call, those who understand that true friendships don't falter at months of missing each other, today we think of you.

To the friends who we have had to love from afar, through a screen, via text messages and phone calls because distance is not our friend, today we think of you.

To the friends who are always in our corner, rooting for us and our adventures, backing us every single time, today we think of you.

To the friends who are now a part of our past, but at one time played a very big part of our present, today we think of you.

To the friends who heal us when we are broken, hold us when we are hurt and bring us back when we are lost, today we think of you.

To all of the friends in our world, new and old, near and far – you are loved, you are golden.
